The 2009 Pontiac Vibe, like its first-generation, is a twin to the Toyota Matrix. The new Pontiac Vibe looks smoother than before. It appears on the flowing lines in the side of body panels and the disappearance of its cladding.
The 2009 Pontiac Vibe has 5 seats, plenty of cargo capacity and more commanding view of the road and will be offered a front- or all-wheel drive.
The new Vibe has 5 doors and it gets a 1.8-liter four producing 132 horsepower and 128 lb.-ft. of torque. The AWD and GT models have 2.4-liter four and produces 158 horsepower and 162 lb.-ft. of torque.
Interior
The 2009 Pontiac Vibe’s interior was designed like a sports cars. It has a driver-focused cockpit, the controls and gauges were easy to use, but retain a performance-oriented look and feel.
The seats were designed with cushions and larger side bolsters, with the driving position a little awkward. This new Vibe’s seats were designed more comfortable than before, it appears on the more space in the flip-folding back seats too.
The interior material of 2009 Pontiac Vibe is low-gloss material combined with varied grains on the instrument panel and other trim components, and satin-metal accents.
The another features of the 2009 Pontiac Vibe are it has a multi-band radio plus the tuning knob. The new Vibe also offered the 320-watt, 7-speaker Monsoon audio system and leather-wrapped steering wheel.
