2000 Pontiac Sunfire SE
2000 Pontiac Sunfire was available in SE Sedan , SE Coupe, GT Coupe, and GT Convertible. SE models come with a 115-horsepower, 2.2-liter 4-cylinder engine. A dual-camshaft 2.4-liter four-cylinder with 150 horsepower is standard on GT models and optional on SEs.
Manual transmission is standard and is now supplied by Getrag of Germany in an effort to improve shift feel. A 3-speed automatic transmission is optional on 2.2s, and both engines can get an extra-cost 4-speeed automatic.
Antilock brakes are standard, and traction control is included with the 4-speed automatic. 2000 Pontiac Sunfire‘s performance and accommodations mirror those of like-equipped Cavaliers. Appearance changes include new front and rear fascias and integral fog lamps on the GT coupe and convertible. SE models get new side ribs and rocker-panel moldings.
The 2000 Pontiac Sunfire’s sportier image has been reinforced with more aggressive styling which includes a restyled front bumper, new side rocker mouldings, and new wheel cover and alloy wheel designs. The front turn signals on SE models have been moved lower in the bumper, and on GT models, they are flanked by new fog lamps.

Inside of the 2000 Pontiac Sunfire, the instrument panel was revised for a more attractive appearance. Instrumentation includes a digital LCD odometer and trip odometer, a tachometer and a coolant temperature gauge. A new floor console provides greater functionality and includes a padded armrest. Key improvements for 2000 include two new forward-mounted cupholders, a concealed coin holder, and improved storage space for CDs, cassettes and other items.
New front and rear fascias and a revised interior headline the changes to the 2000 Pontiac Sunfire. In addition, the Sunfire features freshly styled wheels, a new line of standard stereos, and, for the first time, a premium Monsoon stereo system is available.
Another features in the 2000 Pontiac Sunfire are air conditioning, driver and passenger front airbag, bucket seat, rear view mirror, power steering, front seat back storage, lockable glove compartment, front seats cigar lighter, and front seat center armrest.
