2003 Pontiac Grand Prix GT
2003 Pontiac Grand Prix is available in an SE trim with a 3.1-liter V-6 engine producing 175 hp and 195 lb-ft (264 Nm) of torque and is mated to a 4-speed automatic transmission. The GT came with a 3.8-liter V-6 producing 200 hp and 225 lb-ft of torque. GTP models are powered by a supercharged 3.8-liter V6 that pumps out 240 hp and 280 lb-ft (380 Nm) of torque.
2003 Pontiac Grand Prix coupes and sedans had the same styling, except for rear doors and quarter panels. A wider stance was touted as a revival of Pontiac‘s “Wide Track” look of the 1960s. In fact, track width (distance between wheels on the same axle) grew by more 2 inches in front and 3 inches in the rear, compared to ’96 models.
With a 110.5-inch wheelbase and measuring 197.5 inches long overall, the 2003 Pontiac Grand Prix is about 5 inches shorter than the Bonneville. Fog lamps are standard, and a power moonroof is optional on the GT and GTP models. Antilock 4-wheel disc brakes were standard, as was traction control (but not with the supercharged engine).
For those wishing to transport longer items – such as skis and snowboards – safely and securely inside the vehicle, 2003 Pontiac Grand Prix SE sedan now offer a rear-seat passthrough standard. Newly standard equipment on SE sedans are rear reading lamps and assist grips.
2003 Pontiac Grand Prix‘s exterior dimensions are 4991 mm length, 1847 mm width, 1389 mm height, 2807 mm wheelbase, 1562 mm front track, 1562 mm rear track, and 11247 mm curb to curb turning circle.

2003 Pontiac Grand Prix adds an AM/FM stereo with single-disc CD changer and six speakers as standard equipment. Rear reading lamps, assist grips, an overhead console, and a trunk pass-through are now standard on all trims. The GT and GTP coupe are discontinued.
The mounting track of the driver’s seat is wide, to allow more foot room in the back. The console is comfortable when nudged by the driver’s right leg, and there are perfect padded armrests for driving with both elbows parked. The cabin is very friendly for long drives. There’s less head room in the back seat than in front, but it feels like more because rear-seat passengers’ heads ride aft of the headliner.
The 2003 Pontiac Grand Prix GT adds some luxurious extras with steering wheel radio controls and 6-way power driver seat. However, the pinnacle is the GTS with heads-up instrument display, leather-wrapped steering, 4-way power lumbar adjustment and a trip computer. The instrument panel for the Limited Edition has white gauges while the seats feature leather bolsters and cloth inserts.
2003 Pontiac Grand Prix’s interior dimensions are 973mm front headroom, 927mm rear headroom, 1415mm front hip room, 1379mm rear hip room, 1077mm front leg room, 912mm rear leg room, 1486mm front shoulder room, 1453 mm rear shoulder room, and 2775liters interior volume.
