- 2007 Pontiac G6
2007 Pontiac G6 come in sedan, coupe, and power-retractable hardtop convertible body styles. Sedans come in price-leader 1SV and base models. Sedans and coupes also come in sporty GT and GTP trim. Convertibles are GTs.
1SV and base sedans have a 167-hp 4-cyl. GTs have a 3.5-liter V6 rated at 224 hp in sedan and coupe, 217 hp in the convertible; it had 201 hp for 2006. This V6 is optional for the base sedan. Optional for GTs is a 240-hp 3.9-liter V6 (227 hp in the convertible). In 2007 Pontiac G6, GTPs trade that 3.9 for a 252-hp 3.6-liter V6.
Automatic transmission is standard–a 6-speed on the GTP, a 4-speed otherwise. The 3.9 V6 is available with a 6-speed manual. The V6 engine in the GTP edition of the 2007 Pontiac G6 now has variable valve timing for improved performance, and the GT trim now has hydraulic steering.
With the top up, the 2007 Pontiac G6 seals up as tight and quiet as a steel-roof coupe, because it essentially is a steel-roof coupe. Top down it’s another story. The roof provides much of a car’s stiffness, so convertibles usually get an extra dose of bracing — but the 2007 Pontiac G6 shakes and shimmies quite badly over uneven road surfaces. With the top down, the G6 had a tendancy to wander out of its lane; top up its straight-line behavior was much better.
Interior

- 2007 Pontiac G6 Interior
The 2007 Pontiac G6 has a nice and more modern interior with attractive fabrics and comfortable bucket seats. At first, it has that tank-like Pontiac feeling of sitting down low in the cockpit, but that feeling goes away with a little familiarity and the G6 becomes a happy companion. The cabin is altogether different from the old soft-plastic, fat-knob theme of older Pontiacs.
Like other Pontiac models, the 2007 Pontiac G6 cockpit contains sporty controls and racing-style gauges with red LED backlighting. The coupe and retractable-hardtop models have seating for four, but the sedan can seat up to five. Brushed metal accents and chrome trim decorate the interior.
The Value Leader features air-conditioning, CD player, power accessories, folding back seat, power driver seat, and adjustable steering wheel. The Sedan adds cruise control and keyless entry. The GT upgrades the sound system and adds fog lights, a rear spoiler, sporty suspension, and chrome wheels. The 2007 Pontiac G6 GTP includes climate control, XM radio, and a dimming rearview mirror.
The 2007 Pontiac G6’s exterior dimensions are 189 inches length, 70.6 inches width, 57.1 inches height, 112.3 inches wheelbase, 59.6 inches front track, 60 inches rear track, and 36 feet curb to curb turning circle.
