1972 Pontiac Ventura is powered by a 350 cubic-inch V-8 engine with 2-barrel carburettor. In mid-1972, Pontiac introduced the limited production Ventura SD for the Southern California market as sort of a sporty-luxury compact to counter imported luxury sedans then taking the U.S. market by storm.

The SD option added the high-back Strato bucket seats from the Firebird along with a Custom Sport steering wheel, Rally II wheels, uprated suspension and other items. Some 250 Ventura SD’s were built for 1972, all at the GM Nova/Ventura assembly plant in Van Nuys, California plant.

The 1972 Pontiac Ventura, with its 250ci six and Powerglide trans, gets 20 mpg on the highway and about 13 in the city, and a typical fill-up sees an average of around 17 mpg. The 1972 Pontiac Ventura’s exterior dimensions are 4940 mm length, 1839 mm width, 1334 mm height, 2814 mm wheelbase, 1499 mm front track, and 1496 mm rear track.

Another features of the 1972 Pontiac Ventura are automatic transmission, power disc brakes, chrome accesories, tint, shaker hood, spoiler, 15″ aluminum torque thrust wheels, sharp looking GTO clone.
