1991 Pontiac Firebird come in two models, coupe and convertible. The coupe is available in four trims: base, formula, trans am, and GTA. The convertible is available in base and trans am trim.

The 1991 Pontiac Firebird was available in four engines. They included a 140-horsepower 3.1-liter V6, a 170-horsepower 5.0-liter V8, a 200-horsepower 5.0-liter V8, and a 235-horsepower 5.7-liter V8. The 5.7 V8 came only with an automatic transmission, while the other engines offered both an automatic and a 5-speed manual gearbox.

All 1991 Pontiac Firebird models received restyled noses loosely fashioned after “Banshee” show car as Pontiac was developing the new fourth generation platform. 1991 Pontiac Firebird Trans Am’s ground effects restyled as well. 1991 Pontiac Firebird base model available with 1991 Pontiac Firebird Trans Am ground effects. The Formula and Trans Am trims received a new spoiler, and the Trans Am and GTA got new taillights. The rear-wheel drive 1991 Firebird also got some engine boosts.

Trans Am and GTA also got fresh taillamps and bodyside skirting.

The 1991 Pontiac Grand Prix come in two models, 4-door sedans sedan and 2-door coupes. The sedan is available in four trims: Le, SE, and STE. The coupe is available in SE and trans GT trim.

A 160-horsepower 2.3-liter 4-cylinder which is coupled with a 3-speed automatic transmission was the standard engine on the 1991 Pontiac Grand Prix LE, while a 140-horsepower 3.1-liter V6 powered the SE and STE models. The V6 could also be ordered for the LE.

A turbocharged version of the V6 was standard on the Turbo Grand Prix Coupe, and was an optional engine for the STE sedan. The Turbo coupe is history in place of a GTP coupe, which features a brand new engine – a 3.4-liter, DOHC V6 that hits 210 hp when paired with a 5-speed manual transmission and 200 hp with a new 4-speed automatic.

The 1991 Pontiac Grand Prix SE buyers also have the choice of a no-additional-charge 3.1-liter V-6 with a 4-speed automatic if they don’t desire the twin-cam monster but do want a bit more performance.

1991 Pontiac Grand Prix’s exterior dimensions are 4950 mm length, 1826 mm width, 1392 mm height, 2731 mm wheelbase, 1511 mm front track, and 1473 mm rear track.

Besides the optional engine upgrade, the 1991 Pontiac Grand Prix’s interior space, especially its rear-seat room was quite impressive. Most 2-door coupes have just enough room in the back to slide an umbrella onto the floor, but the Grand Prix had ample room that allows two average-size adults to sit in the back comfortably.
