2006 Pontiac GTO

There are some changes for the new 2006 Pontiac GTO, include revised blacked-out tail lamps, an interior power door lock switch and illuminated steering wheel radio controls. They also add the climate control button for the A/C with the word “Defrost” for this 2006 Pontiac GTO. The another changes was a central door lock switch which added to the center console. But there is neither an antiskid system nor side airbags are offered in this GTO.

The 2006 Pontiac GTO has two available transmission, 4-speed automatic w/OD and 6-speed manual w/OD. ABS, traction control, and a limited-slip differential are standard.

This 2006 Pontiac GTO’s soft suspension wasn’t tuned to handle this much power, although the Pontiac GTO was very comfortable for highway cruising. Its dynamics were no match for the sharper-handling competitors in this price range because of its sluggish reflexes, excessive body roll and weak brakes.

The 2006 Pontiac GTO is a contemporary performer. Its traits include impressive cornering abilities, surprising comfort, and a smooth ride. Interior

The GTO’s contemporary interior styling is contrasting materials and colors. Interior seat and trim colors may be coordinated to the exterior color, with red, blue, purple and black interiors available. Racing-inspired drilled metallic pedals, satin nickel-look accent trim, and stainless steel sill plates emphasize the GTO’s sporty nature.

2006 Pontiac GTO is very well equipped with a thoughtful package of interior amenities, including new illuminated steering wheel radio controls. They include an overspeed alarm and a stopwatch integrated for the driver informations beside average speed, average miles per gallon, trip odometer, trip time remaining, trip distance remaining, fuel used and instant fuel mileage.

The 2006 Pontiac GTO offers dual frontal air bags and three-point safety belts in all seating positions. The front and rear sports seats are configured in a traditional 2+2 configuration, with side bolsters and the “GTO” name embroidered on the front seats. This splash of color extends from the seats to the door inserts to the lower part of the instrument panel to the gauge cluster.
