2000 Pontiac Bonneville

2000 Pontiac Bonneville is available SE, SLE, and SSEi models. The SE and SLE came with a 3.8-liter V6 engine (205 horsepower and 230 pound-feet of torque) and a 4-speed automatic transmission. The performance-oriented SSEi boasted a supercharged version of the 3.8 V6, increasing power to 240 hp and 280 lb-ft.

For the 2000 Pontiac Bonneville, wheelbase and overall length increased by 1.4 inches to 112.2 and overall length grows 2 inches to 202.6, but head room shrunk slightly and interior leg room was unchanged. For SE and SLE models, the V6 produced 205 horsepower. In the SSEi, a supercharged version delivered 240 bhp. Both engines were hooked to a 4-speed automatic transmission. SE models come with standard 16-inch wheels and tires, and SLE and SSEi models roll on 17-inchers. The SLE and SSEi also have a standard rear spoiler.

Interior

The 2000 Pontiac Bonneville’s interior is generous on space. With the optional front bench seat there is room for six people. Passengers will find the center seat in the front and rear a little cramped. Rear-seat head- and legroom is good for two passengers.

The cockpit has a sporty character with a center console that wraps around the driver much like one expects in a sports car. The edge of the center panel curves up over the top of the instrument panel in one large sweep. Rear-seat passengers are not forgotten as they get a decent sized center armrest with cupholders and storage box.

The 2000 Pontiac Bonneville SE is available with front bucket seats or a 3-place split bench seat, but 80 percent of the 2000 Pontiac Bonneville are sold with the buckets, according to Pontiac. Side-impact airbags for front seats were newly standard.

The 2000 Pontiac Bonneville SE gets more standard features, including power mirrors and lighted entry. The SLE adds on dual climate control, 6-way power seats, keyless entry, a new tire monitor, and performance suspension.
