The 1994 Pontiac Bonneville has been going powerful for 36 years now, beginning life as a wide big-bodied sedan. The 1994 Pontiac Bonneville was still a roomy full-sized sedan that might fit five or 6 simply. It was available in 2 trims only this year, the SE and sportier SSE.
Both featured a 3.8-liter, 170-hp V6, but a special supercharged option package for the SSE (the SSEi) boosted that horsepower to 225, a change of 15-horsepower from 1993. The sole available transmission was a 4 gear automated, and in 1994, it permitted the driver to select between normal and performance shifting modes.
Also new in the 1994 Pontiac Bonneville was dual front airbags. A Computer Command Ride option on the SSE featured a suspension that instantly altered according to the driving conditions. ABS brakes were standard across the line, but the sporty SSE or SSEi distinguished itself from the base model SE by adding a rear spoiler, dual exhaust pipes, leather trim, and 12-way adjustable front seat. Options tacked on leather seats, the popular heads-up dash display, traction control, and a sunroof.

The 1994 Pontiac Bonneville was spacious and featured center consoles in the front and rear for extra storage and cupholders. Owners loved all the space in the cabin and trunk, but make particular mention of the luxuriously cushty seats that make you never wish to leave your automobile. Tight steering, solid handling, the feel of a sports auto, and a smooth ride also top the list. Reliabilty and overall affordability are other high points.
An additional set of stereo controls was mounted on the leather-wrapped steering wheel. This could be handy for the easily distracted driver, but the buttons felt flimsily mounted and looked simply brittle. Basically, they were nearly surplus ; unlike so many automobiles, the 1994 Pontiac Bonneville SSE allows full access to the dash-mounted stereo knobs while not needing to reach round the gear shift-kudos to Pontiac engineers for this responsible touch.
The back seats, meanwhile, were cushty and spacious enough for two adults and a child. The fold-down, rear-seat console was one of the roomiest and sturdiest we have seen, with two modular cupholders and a storage bin. And the rear-seat head restrainers were so ergonomically designed that you could take a nap and awake without any displaced vertebrae.
