1992 Pontiac Bonneville SE
1992 Pontiac Bonneville gained a fresh skin and plastic front fenders. While the Buick LeSabre and Oldsmobile Eighty Eight rode on the same basic platform, the Bonneville featured its own distinctive Pontiac “look.”
The 1992 Pontiac Bonneville offers three trim levels : SE, SSE, and SSEi. The SE and SSE are powered by a revamped 3.8-liter V6 engine that now gets 170-hp. The supercharged SSEi tweaks that engine to put out 205-hp and 260 lb-ft of torque. All are paired with a 4-speed automatic transmission.
One of the most notable improvements over the previous generation was that the 1992 Pontiac Bonneville SE now came standard with a driver airbag. ABS brakes are standard on both the SSE and SSEi, and an option on the SE. The SSE models came with standard ABS and traction control. The trims were redone once again, the LE trim was removed, the SE was now the base model, the SSE was now the mid grade and a new top of the line trim was now added, the SSEi.
The 1992 Bonneville is a full-size sedan for six people, and drivers say the roominess, combined with the comfortable seats, turns it into a spare bedroom. It’s smooth and relaxing for long rides, and the new engines are fast and fun to cruise on the highway.
The 1992 Bonneville’s exterior dimensions are 5095 mm length, 1870 mm width, 1410 mm height, 2814 mm wheelbase, 1532 mm front track, and 1519 mm rear track.
1992 Pontiac Grand Prix

- 1992 Pontiac Grand Prix
1992 Pontiac Grand Prix is available in two models: sedan and coupe. The 1992 Pontiac Grand Prix sedan came in LE, SE, and STE, and the coupe model came in SE and GTP trims. A turbocharged version of the V6 was standard on the Turbo Grand Prix Coupe, and was an optional engine for the STE sedan. Antilock brakes were standard on the Turbo Coupe, optional on all other models.
A 160-horsepower 2.3-liter 4-cylinder was the standard engine on the 1992 Pontiac Grand Prix LE, while a 140-horsepower 3.1-liter V6 powered the SE and STE models. The V6 could also be ordered for the LE, with either a 5-speed manual or 4-speed automatic (3-speed on the LE). The sports-oriented GTP coupe features the twin cam 3.4-liter, 210-hp V6 (200-hp with the auto tran).
For the 1992 Pontiac Grand Prix, ABS becomes standard on both the SE and GTP coupe and the STE sedan, but still an option on the LE and SE sedan. All trims get the newly restyled front end already introduced on the STE. The STE provides a lot of performance power similar to the GTP coupe. It has a lot of luxuries, such as power driver’s seat, remote entry, power mirrors, cruise control, and a trip computer.
