1972 Pontiac LeMans
In 1972, GM sold 169,993 Le Mans models in all body styles. Since GTOs have become so expensive, a Le Mans is nearly the same car for much less money. If you want a great-looking car with nearly the same performance as a GTO, a Le Mans Sport is the ticket.
1972 Pontiac LeMans only came as a hardtop or 2 dour pillar coupe. It is powered by a 455 H.O. Ram Air engine mated to an automatic gearbox. The 1972 Pontiac LeMans is painted in wilderness green with a matching saddle tan interior with black top.
The 1972 Pontiac LeMans is equipped with enduro front end, Rally II Wheels, air conditioning, console, tach, unitized ignition, ram air, rear spoiler, wide oval tires, power steering, Formula wheel, power brakes, Rally gauge cluster, bucket seats, air conditioning and Am/FM radio.
For 1972, all Pontiac intermediates were now LeMans models and the low-priced T-37 line was replaced by a stripped LeMans pillared coupe. The top-line intermediate was the Luxury LeMans, available in hardtop sedan and coupe models, featuring plusher interiors than regular LeMans models. The 1972 Pontiac LeMans Sport was available as a 2-door hardtop or convertible featuring Strato bucket seats and plush interior fittings from the Luxury LeMans.
1972 Pontiac Grand Prix

- 1972 Pontiac Grand Prix
An all-new Grand Prix was scheduled to appear this year, but the infamous autumn 1970 strike forced Pontiac to carry over the same version for another year with very minor trim differences.
The most noticeable change on the 1972 Pontiac Grand Prix was the revised grille treatment, which used fine vertical slats accented with horizontal ones. It gave the car an even more formal look than before.
Another Grand Prix option to emerge during the 1972 Pontiac Grand Prix was a radial tire package. Until this point, bias-belted tires and 14-inch wheels were standard. But on February 16, 1972, Car Distribution Bulletin 72-70 was issued stating that a package containing white-lined radial tires, 15-inch wheels with deluxe wheel covers, and special suspension components was available for $148.
The 1972 Pontiac Grand Prix’s exterior dimensions are 5425 mm length, 1941 mm width, 1321 mm height, 2997 mm wheelbase, 1575 mm front track, and 1575 mm rear track.
